Nujabes从一个唱片行的店员出身，凭著对音乐的热爱，98年开始从事DJ工作，之後成立Hydeout Production，2003年推出首张该厂牌混音合辑FIRST COLLECTION，大受好评。并同年推出奠定他在jazzy hip hop界重要地位的专辑''Metaphorical Music''，在日本回响甚大，他的专辑内常和其他知名dj合作，如Shing 02、FAT JON、People Under The Stairs、Funky DL...等等。2010年2月26日深夜，Nujabes在东京都港区内遭遇车祸，后被救护车送往涉谷区内的医院进行抢救，终因抢救无效死亡，终年36岁。
